Day 19 What a difference a day can make!

As the title implies we awoke after a very rough night on the anchor to three and a half foot seas and high winds. Thank goodness the anchor held overnight and was continuing to do so.  But we were getting a little concerned because we were rather close to a stone seawall. We watched the sea and wind conditions carefully until around 11:30 when we felt comfortable pulling up anchor. We had checked around and found what looked like a very good nearby Anchorage called No Name Harbor. It is a part of Bill Boggs Cape State Park. We motored over and easily anchored in a very calm and lovely lagoon. It is very protected from all sides having only a narrow entrance to get in.

This is a very beautiful Park with a wonderful lighthouse. Unfortunately we're in a spot where there is no fuel and no water so we were glad that we had fueled up and watered up at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club. We were able to get out and do some serious walking along a gorgeous boardwalk beside the bay and then the ocean.

We were also able to walk into town and do some provisioning. Again our little wagon came in very handy. It's really interesting here because they have a free shuttle service called Freebie. All you have to do is tip the driver small amount. There's an app you can use to call them and they'll take you all over the island. This is a function of the village of Key Biscayne  After provisioning we got together with our friends, Dani and Wayne, from the boat with the amazing Hawaiian name. We went down to the KBYC to swim in the pool and have supper. It really is a beautiful Club with a beautiful view of the skyline of Miami. There is a very nice lap pool that was warm and well maintained.

We were also able to pick up the light bulbs at KBYC we ordered from Amazon and the temperature sensor for the digital control for the refrigerator that had come from coastal climate control. I'm looking forward to getting those installed on the boat tomorrow. It will be really nice to have our big refrigerator working again. Also looking forward to now having completely LED lighting throughout the boat. Needless to say this will be a huge savings of electricity when we're out on the hook which is where we plan to spend most of our next few weeks. We managed to get back to the boat but late at night but had to call an Uber because the Freebies had quit running. We were able to walk from the gate of the park back to our dingy dock and then of course got back to the boat. All in all a very productive and enjoyable day. We like it here so much that we're probably going to stay for another couple of days before we head on down to Boca Chita Key which is another part of this Key Biscayne National Park.
