Days 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38 Lingering in the Bay off Snook's restaurant

The time spent here on the hook was refreshing. We just enjoyed reading, doing boat projects, swimming off the boat and shopping. The dinghy ride to Snooks was a daily routine so that we could walk for exercise. The results from a desire to dress up for Easter are my aquamarine painted toe nails.

Easter morning was the calmest and brightest morning I've ever seen. The water was so still and clear. Jesus Christ has Risen from the grave! Powerful!

This is the anchor and chain

The golden sun lit up the life ring

The evening before I saw a couple sea animals turning on their blue florescent lights. Then turn off and disappear.  Beautiful and mysterious. We went scuba diving again with Sea Dwellers. The first dive was Pickles Reef with gorgeous sea fans and tons of colorful little fish. The next dive was Snapper Ledge. We dove 40' to see tons of snapper. But I got chilly that deep even wearing a shorty wetsuit.

Then on the return boat ride back, the weather turned into a torrid rain storm. The ride in the dingy was awful especially knowing the hatches on Katmandu were open. What ensued was a massive mop up inside the boat. Laundry day came none too soon today when we pulled anchor and headed to Barleys Basin off  Islamorada. I'm so glad we have a washing machine on board and have so much life line to hang wet clothes. We look forward to exploring the island and riding Freebee here. There is a strong NE wind predicted for a couple of days. We will stay in the anchorage then head over to the oceanside of the Keys from here.
